Proposals for the 2005-06 student fellowships, investigator grants, and team grants are due February 1, 2005 (deadline extended 1 day). Applications will be reviewed by the TSR&TP Executive Committee at their spring meeting and notification letters will be mailed out in May. All awards will begin on July 1, 2005.

In addition, UC graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are invited to submit applications for travel funds to initiate intercampus collaborations involving projects related to UC TSR&TP research needs.

The TSR&TP is soliciting applications for a new lead campus program to begin July 2005. Applications are due February 28, 2005. See the RFP for details.

The 18th Annual TSR&TP Research Symposium will be held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel and the Sacramento Convention Center in downtown Sacramento, April 22-23, 2005. The agenda will feature Friday evening and Saturday morning poster sessions and a keynote speaker (to be announced). This is also an opportunity for students to compete in the 4th Best Poster Contest. Posters will be judged on their ability to communicate science to a broad audience, scientific content, creativity, and visual presentation. The winner will receive $500 in travel funds to present their research at a scientific meeting.

All faculty and students who are funded by the TSR&TP during the 2004-05 academic year will receive a personalized invitation via email. The general public is also welcome to attend the Symposium for a nominal meal charge.

Former trainees of the TSR&TP can sign up on our alumni list to receive an all-expense-paid invitation to the Symposium.
