Three TSR&TP Trainees Win Top Posters at Society of Toxicology Fall Meeting

 

Three TSR&TP trainees from the Toxic Mechanisms Lead Campus Program at UCLA won the top poster prizes at the Fall 2005 Society of Toxicology Southern California Chapter meeting. Lisa Martin won first place for her poster on FK506, an Inhibitor to Calcineurin, Ameliorates Testicular Damage Due to Cadmium in Mice. Second place went to Xiaoyan Liao for Induction of Dkk1 Correlates with Cadmium-Induced Cell Death and Mitotic Inhibition in Embryonic Limb Buds and May Contribute to the Forelimb Ectrodactyly in a Sensitive Mouse Strain, and Robert Taylor won third for his project TCDD-Induced Differential Coactivator Recruitment To CYP1A1 and CYP1B1. The prizes were $500 for first place, $250 for second, and $100 for third.
