Conference on Environmental Protection Indicators for California: January 18-19, 2001 in Sacramento

The California Environmental Protection Agency is sponsoring a conference on Environmental Protection for California: Building a Framework for Cal EPA's Environmental Indicator System January 18-19, 2001 at the Radisson Hotel in Sacramento, California. The conference will introduce Cal EPA's environmental indicators project. Environmental indicators will be used to reveal areas where Cal EPA efforts have been successful, identify areas that need improvement, and signal unrecognized problems. Participants will hear from experts representing organizations that develop and utilize environmental indicators. Open discussions and daily breakout sessions at the conference will provide an opportunity for participants to identify and select issues for prospective environmental indicator development.

There is no fee for attending the conference, but space is limited to the first 200 participants who register. The registration deadline is January 5, 2001.

An agenda and more detailed information is posted at http://www.oehha.ca.gov/public_info.php
